Liquid adhesion is a principal of physics. Simply stated, as liquids flow they adhere to the surface they are traveling across – especially when the surface is curved or round.
The LeafGuard gutter design is based upon this principal. It is a one-piece gutter with a rounded top surface, and gutter trough below. As water flows over the hood, it clings to the rounded end, defying gravity long enough to fall into the gutter bottom.
Leaves and other debris, can’t adhere to the surface, so they don’t fall into the gutter. They fall off the gutter onto the ground below.
